Don’t worry… not every post is going to start with Don’t worry… not every post is going to start with feet. 😂👟 ha ha (or maybe it will 😂) The weather’s absolutely gorgeous today, so the camera is coming with me, and I’m heading out to see what catches my eye. It’s one of those days that reminds me how lucky we are. Not too hot (yet 😜🤣) a little breeze, and a whole day waiting to unfold. I can’t wait to capture a few moments that make me stop and appreciate it all. Sundays can look different for all of us. Some are busy, some are quiet, some are exactly what we need. Whatever your Sunday looks like, I hope you find a little bit of peace, a reason to smile, and a moment that reminds you it’s a beautiful day to be alive. Also big shout out to my angel Sarah back home as it’s her birthday today and she has been an absolute rock over the years and sending loads of cuddles and love to you my girl 💕💕💕💕 Miss you! Lately I’ve been stepping outside my comfort zone. Lately I’ve been stepping outside my comfort zone. I’m usually drawn to people, movement and those little unscripted moments, but these past few weeks I’ve found myself looking up. Chasing lines, reflections, shapes and the stories hidden in buildings instead. Liverpool is my everyday backdrop, and it’s funny how easy it is to forget just how much beauty you walk past. A couple of trips to Manchester this week reminded me that every city has its own rhythm. History, energy and light all woven together. People think running your own business is all freedom and coffee shops. The reality? Hard AF, working all hours, and sometimes pretty lonely. Then there’s this lot. A room full of genuinely good people who celebrate your wins, pick you up when you’ve had a wobble, share advice, recommend each other and somehow always leave you feeling lighter than when you walked in. We’re a proper bunch of misfits, and I wouldn’t change a single one of them. I feel incredibly lucky to be part of this community. It genuinely feels like home. It’s wild how just turning up to one event can change your life and you make friends who are SO your people. Party time... ...just kidding. It’s a wedding 😜 T Party time... ...just kidding. It’s a wedding 😜 The guests arrived thinking they were celebrating birthday…party mode activated. Meanwhile, Eamon was waiting at the end of the aisle, Jo was with the registrar, and (almost) absolutely nobody had a clue what was about to happen. Even his kids!!! Then came the reveal. The confusion. The double takes. The “WAIT... WHAT?!” moments. And once the shock wore off, the celebrations went up 🫶🤘🏻 Still buzzing from pulling off one of the best surprises I’ve ever seen at a wedding. Twenty two years! That’s how long it’d been since Twenty two years! That’s how long it’d been since I last saw Laura, who I went to school with. And isn’t it funny how sometimes you connect with someone and immediately think, Why didn’t we spend more time together back then? 💛 I had the absolute joy of photographing Laura’s 40th birthday recently, and it was just so lovely!!! The sun was blazing, her family kept checking I had a drink and something to eat, and there was this lovely energy in the room where everyone genuinely wanted to be there. Laura had travelled back to celebrate with the people she loves most, and you could feel just how loved she is. Being a photographer, I think you become quite tuned in to these little moments. The glances, the laughter, the quiet kindness and this was full of them. She told me she’d always wished she’d had photos from her 21st. So here’s hoping these become the memories she looks back on in another twenty years and smiles. ✨ Happy 40th, Laura.
