About Me

Hi, I’m Sarah.

I absolutely love what I do. Photography isn’t just about beautiful images for me. It’s about being invited into your world. Your stories. Your chaos. Your joy. Your big, brave, emotional, once-in-a-lifetime moments.

It’s such a privilege to stand beside you and quietly (or loudly) capture the energy in the room, evoking the senses, photos that make you feel. I’m there to put you at ease, to make sure you feel comfortable, confident and completely yourself. My goal is simple: you have the best time ever, and you get photos that feel like you.

My business began with family photography, which naturally flowed into weddings. I still feel so lucky every time I get to witness how families move together, how couples look at each other, how personalities shine in the smallest gestures. So many of you doubt yourselves in front of the camera, and honestly, you shouldn’t. You’re incredible exactly as you are. Celebrating confidence and empowering people is a huge part of my ethos.

Before all this, way back when I worked in fashion. That’s really where my love of photography started. I used to shoot fashion bloggers in Manchester’s Northern Quarter, working with whatever the weather threw at us and chasing great light between brick walls and backstreets. It was creative, spontaneous and so much fun. I think that energy still shows up in my work today.

Alongside weddings and families, I photograph bands, live music, festivals and events. I also work with community organisations here in Liverpool, including the YMCA, documenting the incredible work they do. Whether it’s corporate storytelling or capturing life inside community spaces, I always keep it natural and real.

When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll probably find me walking around Liverpool, which I genuinely think is one of the friendliest, coolest cities around. I see my friends as often as I can. We’re usually at a restaurant, watching live music, or catching up over a few beverages. Every Wednesday I go to a painting class. I’m not amazing at it, but I love it. The class is so supportive, and it’s important to me to keep creating just for the joy of it.

This year I’m starting to write again. My degree is in English, and I’ve always loved storytelling in all its forms. I’m also thinking about learning to sew because I’m slightly obsessed with fashion and clothes. And yes, I am waiting for warmer weather so I can justify a proper shopping spree.

This year is a big one too. I’m turning 40, which feels exciting and empowering in itself. I’m really close to my mum, and we try to see a show together every year. This year we’re off to see The Rocky Horror Picture Show at the Liverpool Empire, which feels perfectly dramatic and joyful.

If you book me, you’re not just booking someone to take photos. You’re booking someone who will cheer you on, calm your nerves, notice the details, and celebrate you loudly in her head while quietly documenting it all.

If you’d like to chat about weddings, family shoots, bands, events or something a little different, I’d love to hear from you.
