So excited to share this with you! šŸ¤ I had no idea that Lancashire Life had used one of my photos as the lead image for their feature celebrating the Dream Venues Collectionā€™s award-winning wedding venues. What a lovely surprise! Honestly canā€™t quite believe it. This was such a gorgeous moment between these two. No posing, no awkward ā€œlook at each otherā€ā€¦ just completely wrapped up in each other while everyone around them cheered. The industrial venue, the epic florals, that flower crown, the neonā€¦ this wedding had so much personality, and these two absolutely brought the magic. It was such a privilege to be part of their day, and seeing this moment published makes it feel even more special. Bit of a radio silence from meā€¦ šŸ™ˆ Iā€™ve been busy Bit of a radio silence from meā€¦ šŸ™ˆ Iā€™ve been busy editing, being creative, watchingmy friends play at the theatre, celebrating graduations, watching the football, and spending time with some brilliant people from all over the world. Sometimes itā€™s nice to put the phone down and just enjoy life as itā€™s happening. Liverpool has given me some really special memories lately, and I have a feeling this is one of those chapters Iā€™ll look back on and smile. Iā€™ve loved filling my days with good people, good conversations and lots of laughter. Life feels really full right now, and Iā€™m so grateful for it. Some weddings whisper. Some completely burst into Some weddings whisper. Some completely burst into life. This vision was one of those. An explosion of colour, incredible styling, and floral artistry that transformed every corner into something magical. It was bold, playful, elegant... and proof that wedding inspiration doesnā€™t have to follow the rules to be beautiful. One of the things Iā€™ve realised recently, through photographing both weddings and my daily street photography project, is how much I love simply being trusted to create. You donā€™t need to know how to pose. You donā€™t need to worry about looking awkward. Thatā€™s my job. My favourite part of any wedding day is taking all those little nerves and turning them into something that feels completely natural. Iā€™ll gently guide you when you need it, give you space when you donā€™t, and create photographs that feel like you, not like youā€™re copying someone elseā€™s Pinterest board. The magic always happens when people stop worrying about the camera and start enjoying the moment. Whether your day is full of colour like this or beautifully understated, my approach is always the same. Trust me with the creative side. You focus on each other. Yesterday felt like one of those days I know I'll Yesterday felt like one of those days I know I'll come back to years from now. The heat bouncing off the docks. The smell of the sea. Cruise ships drifting past. People finding pockets of shade. Friends laughing. Someone losing their lunch to a fearless Liverpool seagull. Tourists queuing patiently for a photo with The Beatles statues. A city just... living. I've been taking photos every day lately, and something unexpected has happened. It's helping me find my words again. As a kid I wrote poetry almost every day. I studied English because words always felt like home, but somewhere along the way I stopped writing. I don't think I realised how much I'd missed that part of myself until now. Photography has quietly brought it back. Every photograph makes me slow down. It asks me to notice. To remember. To pay attention to the things that would otherwise disappear into another busy week. Today I deliberately left my camera at home. Looking back at these photos, I don't just see buildings or blue skies. I remember the warmth of July, the breeze coming off the water, the movement of the flags outside the Port of Liverpool Building, people studying maps before choosing their next adventure, and that beautiful mix of old and new architecture that makes this city feel timeless. Lately I've found myself questioning things. Wondering if I'm making the right choices, if I'm on the right path. Yesterday reminded me that I am. Life has a funny way of introducing you to the right people at exactly the right time. One conversation turned into another, new friendships appeared out of nowhere, and what started as a quiet walk ended with food, a rooftop barbecue, birthday celebrations and a reminder that community often finds you when you least expect it. I'm learning that staying true to yourself isn't always the easiest path. But I think it's the one that leads you home. Creating. šŸŽØā˜€ļø Iā€™ve started making a little promis Creating. šŸŽØā˜€ļø Iā€™ve started making a little promise to myself. Whenever I can, I go to painting classā€¦ Not because I want to become the worldā€™s greatest painter... but because of how it makes me feel. Itā€™s one of the warmest, kindest communities Iā€™ve found. Charmaine has created something really special, and every time Iā€™m surrounded by people who encourage each other to keep creating, keep learning and just enjoy the process. Yesterday was absolutely roasting. šŸ„µ I wandered through Liverpool with my camera, spent the morning painting, then met my mum afterwards for some pub grub... mainly because we needed somewhere with air conditioning! šŸ˜‚ Then later I met my best girly and we sat on the roof terrace watching the world go by. Simple days like this are becoming some of my favourites. A few months from now, when itā€™s freezing outside, Iā€™ll look back at these photos and remember exactly how this day felt. The heat, the conversations, the paint-covered hands, people sitting outside, the city full of life. I was especially proud of the portrait I painted. Without really meaning to, I think it became about strength. About finding your own voice. About taking up space without apologising for it. The older I get, the more I realise that creativity isnā€™t just about making things. Itā€™s about becoming more yourself. Stop. Look. Remember. ā˜€ļøšŸ“ø I nearly didnā€™t take a Stop. Look. Remember. ā˜€ļøšŸ“ø I nearly didnā€™t take a photo yesterday. Iā€™d gone for a walk without my camera because, every now and then, itā€™s good to simply look instead of always trying to capture everything. Then, right before bed, I looked out of my bedroom window. Click. This morning Iā€™m so glad I did. This little corner has become one of my favourite parts of the summer. Friends from my building, football on the big screen, people wandering over to say hello, smiles, conversations... a tiny community growing outside my window. I was shattered. I only went down for five minutes... which by some miracle didnā€™t turn into longer. šŸ˜‚ And thatā€™s exactly why this photo matters to me. Itā€™s not because itā€™s the most dramatic picture Iā€™ve ever taken. Itā€™s because years from now, Iā€™ll look at it and instantly remember how this summer felt. Iā€™ve been setting myself the challenge of taking more photographs, not because I need more content, but because I donā€™t want life to rush past unnoticed. Ironically, itā€™s technology thatā€™s helped me do that. My camera isnā€™t pulling me away from life. Itā€™s encouraging me to step into it. To notice more. To say yes to moments Iā€™d otherwise forget. For me, thatā€™s what photography is really about. Not perfect pictures.
