Another lovely morning with the Liverpool Wedding Another lovely morning with the Liverpool Wedding Network 💛 Today we met at One Fine Day on Old Hall Street and honestly… what a venue 😍 I’d actually been before with Vicky for a catwalk show, so I already knew it had that vibe – stylish, cool, a bit different – and it did not disappoint. Such a gorgeous space to hang out, chat and soak up all the creative energy ✨ So good catching up with familiar faces (you know who you are!) and meeting some new ones too. Big love to Zara from Scale, Sue from The Racquet Club, Rachel from Hadwin Events, the lovely James with the dreamy voice, and so many others 🫶 It’s just the nicest reminder that this industry isn’t about competing – it’s about community. Supporting each other, sharing ideas, keeping each other motivated… and having a good laugh along the way too 😄 And can we just take a second for the fact that this is a completely FREE event?! Vicky is an absolute gem for creating something so special with zero agenda other than bringing us all together and helping everyone thrive. I tried a really natural makeup look recently… and I tried a really natural makeup look recently… and I loved it. I’d usually go heavier and with glitter but I got loads of complimented and felt fab! So it actually took like over an hour…..Because “natural” isn’t actually natural. And it got me thinking because it’s the same with wedding photography. People think it’s just… moments happening. Effortless. Unposed. Easy. But in many ways it’s not. It’s carefully crafted. The light, where you’re standing, how you move, how you feel — even the quiet guidance that helps you relax without realising it. And those “candid” moments? The second a camera appears, people change. They stiffen up. They perform. The magic disappears. That’s why my job isn’t just to take photos. It’s to create an environment where those real moments can actually happen. So it feels natural… Even though a lot of thought went into making it that way.
