Ha ha 😝 Just me, sitting in my apartment, laughing to myself. Honestly, it genuinely made my day! 🤣 The random things you do when you’re single, hey? Some photos are about people. This one’s about fri Some photos are about people. This one’s about friendship. 🤍 This photo is of my lovely friend Rachel, but it’s also about something photography has given me that I never expected. Over the last few years, it’s introduced me to some genuinely wonderful people. The kind who work incredibly hard, cheer everyone else on, make you laugh until your face hurts and quietly make life better just by being in it. Rachel is one of those people. We first met a couple of years ago at the Liver Building, then bumped into each other again at the Liverpool Wedding Network with that classic, “Hang on... don’t we know each other?” moment. Since then, she’s become one of my favourite people to spend time with. We dance together at The Daffodil on Thursday evenings (she’s definitely the graceful one 😂), she’s endlessly supportive, full of brilliant ideas, and always encourages the people around her to do well. This photo feels so Rachel. Joyful, natural and completely unfiltered. And I think that’s what I’m discovering my photography is really about… It isn’t about chasing the perfect photo. It’s about noticing people as they really are. The laugh they didn’t realise they let out. The split second that says more than a perfectly posed picture ever could. I’m not just photographing Liverpool. I’m photographing the people, places and little moments that remind me how good life can be. People often say Liverpool is the friendliest city, and honestly, I think they’re right. Thank you, Rachel, for being exactly who you are. ❤️ Xxxxxx (P.S. Who’s been to or recognises any of these places ar Who’s been to or recognises any of these places around Liverpool? 👀 One of them is looking very different from its usual lively self... (I’m looking at you, Matthew Street!) This is why I love taking my camera out on my daily walks. It’s never about hunting for the “perfect” photo. It’s about noticing the little things that make a place feel alive. A colourful café I’ve added to my “must visit” list and always walk past…An art gallery that feels welcoming before you’ve even stepped inside. A record shop that’s making me seriously consider buying a record player... if you’ve got one, tell me... does the sound really live up to the hype, or do you just love the whole experience? 🎶 A stroll past Charlotte Tilbury home of my trusty foundation, walking past the Capitol Building on Old Hall Street, and dreaming about treating myself to some flowers from Arta’s Flowers one day. They always make me smile when I pass. Then the little moments like spotting the football fever because England are playing. A couple walking hand in hand…The lines of the buildings. The shapes. The quiet pockets that somehow exist in the middle of a busy city. Photography has taught me that there’s always more to notice than we first realise. Sometimes all it takes is slowing down for a second. I’d genuinely love to know... which photo is your favourite, and have you been to any of these places? 🤍 The world is already so beautiful. Some days just stay with you. Mum came to Liverpo Some days just stay with you. Mum came to Liverpool today and we did what we always do... wandered, chatted for hours, ate good food, found beautiful little corners and today took photos. ❤️ I think when you’re with someone who makes you feel completely safe, you notice more. You slow down. You laugh more. You find beauty in places you’d probably have walked straight past on your own. It also reminded me why I love photography so much. It isn’t about chasing the perfect photo. It’s about capturing your people, your places, your little moments. The conversations you’ll forget the words to, but never the feeling of. Those ordinary days that quietly become some of the most important ones. A huge thank you to my wonderfully creative Mum for taking the photos of me too. She’s usually the one avoiding the camera, so having these photos of us, and of the day, feels even more special. Looking at them now, I can already feel exactly what today felt like, and I know one day they’ll mean even more. We’re incredibly lucky to have a city like Liverpool as the backdrop, but it’s the people you’re with that make the memories. 🤍 #SarahGlynnPhotography #Liverpool #StreetPhotography #EverydayMoments
It’s funny how much you miss when you’re thinking It’s funny how much you miss when you’re thinking about the next thing instead of looking up. Liverpool has this way of stopping me in my tracks. One second I’m surrounded by glass, traffic and people getting on with their day. The next, I’m looking at buildings that have been here for generations, catching the light in a way that feels completely new. Then I stepped inside and everything changed. The bright blue sky disappeared, replaced by deep shadows and this gorgeous warm glow. Complete opposites, but somehow they belong together. I’m really falling in love with street photography. Not because I’m chasing the perfect shot, but because it’s teaching me to notice. The symmetry. The leading lines. The little pockets of beauty that are there every single day if you slow down long enough to see them. I think that’s what photography is becoming for me. Less about taking people away from the moment, and more about helping me be in it. #sarahglynnphotography #liverpool #architecture #streetphotography
Don’t worry… not every post is going to start with Don’t worry… not every post is going to start with feet. 😂👟 ha ha (or maybe it will 😂) The weather’s absolutely gorgeous today, so the camera is coming with me, and I’m heading out to see what catches my eye. It’s one of those days that reminds me how lucky we are. Not too hot (yet 😜🤣) a little breeze, and a whole day waiting to unfold. I can’t wait to capture a few moments that make me stop and appreciate it all. Sundays can look different for all of us. Some are busy, some are quiet, some are exactly what we need. Whatever your Sunday looks like, I hope you find a little bit of peace, a reason to smile, and a moment that reminds you it’s a beautiful day to be alive.
