Joanne and James at Peckforton Castle

A totally incredible Cheshire Wedding at the luxurious Peckforton castle. This stunning bride and groom got married in the most extravagant fashion. Shooting with Jonny Draper Photography, Sarah and Jonny had the pleasure of capturing the stunning fairy-tale wedding of Joanne and James at Peckforton Castle. Marry Me Films – Forever Memories perfectly captured video moments of the day.

THE PREPARATIONS

With bridal preparations in their final stages, make up (Sarah Meredith Make-up & Hair Styling) and hair (Wedlocks Bridal Hair) looking fabulous, all that was left was to don the sumptuous be-jewelled dress (Veromia Bridalwear) and make that entrance!

Emotions were high when the bridal party gathered, and tears of joy were shed.

The bridesmaids wore contrasting soft flowing vermillion dresses, the matron of honour wore a glittering gold gown, while the grooms party wore elegant black tails with matching vermillion neckties and handkerchiefs.

The beautiful bride’s bouquet picked out both the white of her dress and the vermillion of the bridesmaids dresses, and this colour theme was reflected in the bridesmaids posies and the stunning aisle and “altar” floral arrangements (Red floral architecture). Confetti was by Shropshire Petals

The groom’s party assembled in the red sandstone splendour of the Grand Hall while the guests arrived, lulled by the soft violin tunes of String Infusion.

THE CEREMONY

The commanding appearance of a Piper, with Bagpipes at full throttle announced the entrance of stunning bride Joanne accompanied by her matron of honour. It was only then, as the bride walked down the flower festooned aisle, that the impact of the length of the veil and detail of the dress could be appreciated.

CHAMPAGNE & CANAPES

With vows said, and the first kiss exchanged, the happy couple mingled with their guests as the Champagne flowed.

THE WEDDING BREAKFAST

With the party atmosphere now in full swing the guests happily greeted the newly married Joanne and James to the Top Table for a Wedding Breakfast washed down with free-flowing wine.

SPEECHES

Fun, laughter and happiness (oh and a lot of emotion!) summed up the speeches, together with the Conga!

THE CAKE

The four-tier cake matched both the colour and the exquisite detail of the bride’s dress. The cake cutting was a four handed affair as the knife more reassembled the Sword of Excalibur rather than a kitchen implement.

PIMMS O’CLOCK

With the wedding breakfast over everyone had a chance for rest and recuperation with a Pimm’s before the night-time festivities began.

EVENING RECEPTION

Joanne and James had thought of everything to entertain and keep their guests happy, even comfy mules for the ladies to swap for their high heels!

Entertainment by both Hipswing, and saxophone soloist, Girl On Sax, kept everyone dancing long into the night and a Glitter Bar (Wish Upon A Sparkle) created fantastic fun face glitter designs which even the bride and groom had done.

FIRST DANCE

The instructions for the evening were “follow the glitter ball” and what a big ball it was! And it was under this maginificentness that Joanne and James had their first beautifully performed dance as Mr & Mrs, in front of their family and friends.
