I photographed the wedding for the birthday girl’s son and daughter-in-law a couple of years ago, so I already had a feeling this was going to be a great night… and they absolutely delivered. The DJ had the dance floor packed, the room looked amazing, and the energy all night was unreal. Completely my kind of crowd. What I loved most was the family energy. You could see how much everyone genuinely cares about each other. Even the ones who would normally dodge the camera got involved for Mum, which says a lot. Every corner felt thoughtfully curated. Sophisticated. Effortless. Elevated. We had a ribbon cutting moment, champagne flowing, canapés making the rounds, and even live cooking from a chef that turned the whole space into a sensory experience. It was classy and polished, but still full of warmth, personality and those natural, candid moments I love capturing. And the outfits? Impeccable. I could have photographed them all day. Blacks. Lace. Gloves. Bespoke veils. Ribbons whispering “till death do us party.” Old world heritage meeting modern confidence. Historic portraits on the walls. Candlelit tables dripping in deep red florals. Then a bride who looks like she owns the room and knows it. That contrast? Unreal. The colour palette works so beautifully with the history of The Racquet Club. It doesn’t fight the space, it leans into it. Elegant English goddess with a rebellious streak. Subtle quirks. Super cool city vibes with one of my OG families 🖤 Super cool city vibes with one of my OG families 🖤🏙️ These legends have been coming to me for about ten years now. Ten. Whole. Years. I’ve watched these kids grow up in front of my lens, seen their personalities come out, their confidence build, their style change. It’s honestly such a privilege. This time they came to my hometown, Liverpool, and we went full urban backdrop. Waterfront views, big buildings, clean lines, proper city energy. And because the boys are older now, it’s a whole different vibe. No one legging it towards the water. No chasing toddlers. Just relaxed, chilled, cool as anything.
